The Comedy Show
The Late Nite Comedy Show.
The comedy this year at the Hop Farm is going to make fantastic
addition...when you've sung along and whooped to your favourite
band you can kick back and have a right good laugh at the late nite
comedy selection.
We have handpicked an extremely diverse and hilarious bunch of
comedy entertainers each evening. A mix of rising stars of the
comedy circuit and old school seasoned legends such as BOB
MILLS, with his massive, commanding stage prescence, even
now with a huge alternative comedy cult following, after his
classic TV series 'In bed with Medinner' and the amazing
IAN COGNITO: He is a top headliner in the UK,
known for his confrontational and aggressive style, comparisons
have been made to US comedians Lenny Bruce and Bill Hicks, a real
legend and perfect festival act... not if your'e easily
offended.
Representing the younger guard we have MATHEW
OSBORN Winner of English comic of the year 2009,
CHRISTIAN RILEY who uses his dynamic guitar and
vocal skills to target histrionic rock bands, musical theatre and
morose indie musicians. A natural talent for risky jokes, song and
quips which you just can't help laughing at! KEITH
PLATT A somewhat crazy Yorkshire character, irritated at
most things; everything's up for a sideswipe by this character's
humour often getting the best laughs of the night and stealing the
show. Like a Yorkshire 'Al Murray' , SIMON DONALD
Founder member of VIZ magazine with his hilarious character Barry
Twyford, a Geordie census-taker will no doubt have a few outrageous
and hilarious questions for the audience... CARLY
SMALLMAN with her her bubbly and silly songs about the
most questionable subjects SUZY BENNET who
won the Funny Women Crown with her irreverent
Brace yourselves for 'proper mad' fun as irrepressible South London
chavtastic geeza LEE 'Nelsy' NELSON Star of his
own BBC3 TV 'Well Good Show', Nelsy is the creation of
critically-acclaimed character comedian Simon Brodkin. We also
have the brilliant ABANDONMAN who are sweeping all
the latest comedy awards, who create hilarious musical sketches at
lightning speed live in front of their audience. No two gigs are
ever the same... theyr'e reinventing hip hop in a vibrant comedic
way. Their lyrics based on audience suggestions over guitar licks
and folk rhythms like '8 Mile meets Flight of the
Conchords' JANICE PHAYRE extremely impish,
blissfully funny set with as much naughtiness as she can get away
with (a lot) and all delivered from a wholly innocent-looking face
till she brings out her 4ft 6" Vagina... Then we have the silly
record collection of PAUL HARRY ALLEN amazingly
culled from years of charity shop rummaging finds the most odd,
silly and funny lines and songs you could imagine. Aussie
PAM FORD Loud mouthed, feisty, witty, ballsy and
in yer face as you can get. Last but not least SION
JAMES an MC that mines nuggets of hilarity out of any
audience as he riffs with them effortlessly.

FANTSTIC 5 Celebrity Football at The Hop Farm
Festival!
The infamous Soccer 6 Event brings you the Fantastic Fives at
Hop Farm Festival- Come and watch your favourite celebrity, bands,
DJ's and ex-footballers while they compete against each other on
our 5 a side football tournament. Competitions will kick off Friday
and Saturday more info to come!!!
Fun Fair
A festival isn't complete without the fun of a fairground. The
Hop Farm will be decked with an assortment of fun fair attractions
that promises not to disappoint!!
